COURSE DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED AUDIENCE
The intended audience for this course is hospital staff responsible for EKG interpretation. This course provides an overview of the basics.

1. Provide a firm knowledge of components of the normal 12 Lead EKG;

2. Introduce basic components of 12 lead EKG used to assess pathology.

 

PARTICIPANT OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program the learner will be able to...

1. Identify normal coronary artery circulation and cardiac conduction system.

2. Identify the 12 standard electrocardiogram leads.

3. Determine the mean QRS axis from a 12 lead EKG.

4. Determine hypertrophies from a 12 lead EKG.

5. Identify EKG changes after myocardial infarction.

6. Identify the location of a myocardial infarction from a 12 lead EKG.

7. Differentiate between right and left bundle branch blocks.

Linda Moulton, RN MS is a cardiovascular researcher and educator, and owner of Critical Care Ed and C.C.E. Consulting, Springfield, IL. Her professional roles have included manager, educator, clinical specialist, consultant, researcher and medical writer. She has taught across the U.S., for NASPE and for industry. Cancellations:
Cancellations may be faxed in writing. Cancellations received 7 days before the course will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after this time will be assessed a $20.00 processing fee. No refunds are given for "no shows" or cancellations received after the conference begins. A $20.00 fee is charged on any returned check. Your check must be received within ten days if you register by phone or fax or your registration may be cancelled.
